The Door Romania Foundation hosted in Mogosoaia, 1-2 April 2010, The IT Spring School 2010, Science and Leadership powered by IBM Romania.
The project was coordinate by Irina Stoltz, on initiative of Mihaela Gotia, having like benefiters institutionalised children from foundation and children from Mogosoaia school.
The thematics included:
- Introduction in Romanian IT&C
- Presentation of bussines corporation model, history and general lines adapted to teenagers
- Science in society- demonstration Try Science powered by IBM
- Interactive web site - World Community Grid
- New products and atractivity of science
- Workshops with scientific experiences handled by kids
Mentors of voluntary school we are bringing our gratitude are: Laurentiu Ciurea, Irina Stoltz, Cristina Albani, Victor Fomino, Mihaela Gotia and Octavian Covaci.
The interactive presentation involve permanently the children's knowledge and enthusiasm. The project was a real success declared Anisoara Gaisteanu, the school manager, beeing done by specialists.
"Are moments in life we chose the models to follow, said Alex, one of the participated kids. The words is rising the wish for more knowing, the images are replacing tousand of words and practical things from workshop fix all in our mind. This was done by IBM-ers group that wizard all of us and have to thanks them in the children's name".
The Easter was just a day far away and final moment of the voluntary school was marked by participation diplomas and gifts handling. We thanks to IBM Romania and look forward for next events.
